No win positions.

Schedualing mix up, half assed last minute switch at work, and nobody telling me, meaning I had rights to the hours as I was originally on the list (The idiot manager scratched my name out in ink, and filled in her name in pencil.)  The other person was a little old lady who, when told to go home, had a panic attack, broke down in tears, and ran out.

What could I do?  I took the hit, and told her to finish out the day.

How school shows always have jocks bullying someone.

For the most part, I remember athletes being pretty stand up people.  The real bullies didn't wear sports jackets, and "jocks" would be the first to have someone's back.

Says a lot about scriptwriters/producers own baggage, imo.

Hour three in.

Something about the Kara/evil Spock exchange bugs me.  The way they defined good vs evil, with evil equating to "hedonism", and good to "never get to have fun/pleasure."

I mean, you could play that off in so many ways, and they went with "You could enjoy life, or you could sacrifice all happiness for the sake of others."

Which is bull, and even kind of lazy imo.

Two more shows to go (Decided to see Designated Survivor instead of hour three.)

Yeah, space nazi's are a fun concept.. But this being the CW and all, the cynic in me can't help but wonder if there's a dig at the "alt right" burried in there somewhere.

Not that they've ever been shy about just being in your face about it, e.g. every time Cat Grant says something.

Did I miss an episode where Ollie is Arrow again and Diggle is back to Guardian?

Yeah, that threw me.  Only thing that makes sense, is Arrow works off a different timeline then Flash.

Working on hour 2 on dvr now.

When you lay down on your side in bed at night, and you can hear your own heartbeat in your ears.

That's why I always put something on (Music, a podcast)

Very thin, cheap overhead earphones are most comfortable for this.

Looking forward to this one.  Just saw Thor (Which I thought was just allright.  Chuckled at Hulk looking like a WoW orc.) so probably won't see this weekend.  But if you like it, it sounds like a safe bet for me.

One thing I'd pay good money to see in any DCU movie:  Bibbo Bibowski.  An everyman street thug turned bar owner with a heart of gold invented in the 90's by Jerry Ordway, he'd be a natural for this.

And speaking of banging, do we know Vixen's entire timeline isn't already an aberration?  Nate could be modern Vixen's grandpa for all we know.

Sort of like Phillip J. Fry in Futureama accidentially killing his "grandfather", and knocking up grandma, making him his own grandpa.  It was always gonna turn out like that, we just didn't know it yet.

Kingsman:  Secret Service "Shoot the dog".

Not because of how wrong such an order is (It is), but because I'm not sure what it's supposed to prove.

That they'll kill on demand?  Heck with a dog, slip a toddler or infant on there.  Put someones mother in there.

Yeah, they'll be killing on faith, but it's a dog.  Only thing you're proving is whether someone has any conscience at all..

Nothing more relaxing then video pinball.

The Rebel Assault table is especially fun.

Nothing more annoying in Destiny then a cave/building that's too dark to see.

Keep looking for cover, and slamming in to shadowed walls.

I'm not really a nitpicker, but I'm watching Back to the Future, get to the scene where Doc shows off the synchronized watch's, rants at Marty to follow the car, then when Einstein gets back, notice Marty has the camera pointed at the ground and is not recording the out of sync watch's.

Good job, Marty.  No wonder Doc is stuck puttering around in his home and has to steal from terrorists.

I liked Zsasz's stand in.

Wonder if he'll be the first guy to stay dead in Gotham.

Dead Space 3 and Destiny.

Mostly to coop.  Trying to get back into Destiny on my own time too, but it always feels more fun with friends.

Eye floaters.

They first started appearing in my right eye in high school, but in the past several years a large mass appeared that can get annoying.  Had my eyes checked several times and everything checked out ok.

Learned to mostly ignore them, but just learning you can remove them with laser surgery has me thinking about them again.

Probably not worth the risk, but we are talking about one annoying mass of floater that's impossible to ignore all the time..

After Iron Fist, this, and a few other things, it's also pretty obvious critics live in an echo chamber.

Not only because of the ratings themselves, but the arguments they use.  In the case of the Fist, it was about racial representation..  Nearly EVERY review touched on that.

And in The Orville's case, almost every reviews runs down Seth personally.  Not for his acting or anything,  but just because he's Seth.  (One guy even said another actor the audience can root for would help.)

That's not professionalism imo, it's a Twitter/Reddit rep system.

Could be.  Seems like both parties enjoy hating on Seth.

Jealousy?  Far as I know, Seth's a self made man in Hollywood.  None of that "You go down on me, I scratch your back" tit for tat nonsense.

As political as Hollywood is, having a guy around that wasn't meant to be a serious success and is beholden to no one could rub a lot of insiders the wrong way..

That Rottentomatoes score though..  From 20% critic fresh, to 18%.

50% would be harsh but fair, imo, because 50% is "average".  18% is trainwreck territory.

What's going on?  IMDB and TV Guide are in the 70-80% range, and RT viewers are at 93%.

Don't remember. I'll need to rewatch it.

Seth soapboxing against pure democracy isn't necessarily a bad thing, though.  I'm suspecting he's been repressing loads of problems with the left for years, and now some of it is leaking out.

After last night, I'm unsure now.

They built a special crossbow that shoots full sized arrows, which implies more then a few  shows worth of investment.

They also showed Diggle in a back alley buying some type of drug that resembles Ninja Turtle mutagen, presumably to deal with the tremor problem.

So the groundwork is there for Ollie to relieve Diggle, it just depends on how long they want to play this out..

Most sjw sites refuse to accept Diggle Arrow.

Proof of bad markering imo.  Why would they do this in the era of Jane Foster Thor, if not to capitalize on "new sjw icon for old rope."

This will be a season change, bare minimum.

Been a bad week.  Also, don't ever get a mini phone, typing is hell.

Most sjw channels think Diggle won't stick.

I think, given Lady Thor and such, this will be at least a few seasons worth of status quo.  If no one accepts it, it proves their pr machine needs work.

Screw it, this entire week annoys me.

A .txt message with vital info is locked into a, I thought, impregnable file.  Somehow idiot user manages to move it, on a completely uncluttered drive, to some obscure area.

HOW??!  The damned things still locked good and tight, user has no idea how to access her email and could barely turn the laptop on, how did she manage it?

Also, Cortana is awful.  Wasted about five minutes on it's stupid web search's (Just like the old search box amiright?) before I realized File Explorer is the new Search..

Just fixed my computer illiterate father's web browser home page, which goes to his email.  It was an easy fix, I just feel his settings never should have been wiped to begin with.

Blame it on cutting corners so much you hire incompetent help (Anyoe good would never take the job), or management vision coming at the expense of functionality ("We do this, it'll wipe everyone's setting's".  "I don't care.  Just do it, the boards breathing down my neck".)

Or whatever.  Seems to happen pretty often, whatever the reason (I just set up a Primepay, the process is convoluted and the access key didn't work).

I've been on the other side, on a rollout, so I know full well there's a clash one side making demands, and the other side just doing what can realistically be done..  It's just a shame no one seems to give a damn about the end user experience, especially for non computer savvy people.
