General Discussion / dumb and dumber to
« on: November 14, 2014, 10:39:48 PM »
I think this movie will have a lot of haters. If you loved the first one as a comedy then you will just probably like this but I do not think you will love it. The 2 dream sequences are the funniest parts in the movie imo. Some of the jokes fall flat. Fatsexy will want to slam penny so hard until his pepe falls off.

Kathleen Turner is decent in her role.

I do not want to give too much away but I feel if you are expecting a masterpiece to follow the first one then you will feel disappointment. If you go in with no expectations and just want a few nice laughs then they are there to be had.

As comedies go I give it 3 out of 4 stars. I would say we're the millers and horrible bosses and stepbrothers and dumb and dumber were 4 star comedies.

Football / props to texas a&m

they put an ass whoopin on the gamecocks in columbia.

I thought coming into the season that the ceiling for this gamecocks squad was 8-4. I hated the corners playing off by 10 yards over and over. I guess that is what you have to do when your corners are not good.

I hope they give texas a&m the top 10 ranking that they deserve. I would be totally fine moving the gamecocks outside of the top 25.

I thought dylan thompson played decent for the most part and his defense gave him zero chance.

It would be nice for the gamecocks to run the table and still end up in SEC title game but after tonight I give that a 1 percent chance.

Wrestling & MMA / Daniel Bryan is having his neck operated on
« on: May 14, 2014, 04:58:03 PM »
I am sure all of you have heard this info. How long should they give him before they strip him of the title? 30 days?

How would you book what the wwe does with the wwe world title if Bryan is gone for 60 or 90 days (or much longer)

A scenario I like is a tourney done over the course of weeks seeding people form  with Barrett and Sheamus getting a 1st round bye for being secondary title holders to try and give those titles a little bit of respectablitiy.

Wrestling & MMA / John Cena
« on: May 04, 2014, 02:44:36 PM »
how many years do you think he has left in the ring? His body seems to be in good shape to me and he is in rare air right now. He has been the face of the wwe for the most part since 2005.

Hogan was around from wrestlemania 1 to 9 (9 years) (but he was never on tv every single week like Cena)
The Rock's real peak was from 1998 or 1999 to 2003 (5 years)
Steve Austin was around from 1996 to 2003 off and on with a time he walked out in 2002 plus he missed time from late 1999 to his return in sept 2000.'

His reign will probably never be topped again.

Wrestling & MMA / I don't like batista
« on: March 10, 2014, 07:37:08 PM »
He is limited in the ring and on the mic. He only got his wwe title run because he is friends with HHH. I think evolution was a poor roided man's 4 horsemen. I will admit in his last heel run before he left he was ok.

I do think a post wrestlemania program with Daniel Bryan if that is the route they go will be entertaining to see Batista booed heavily.

Name me 5 memorable Batista matches that you have really enjoyed in his entire career.

Perhaps  I am in the minority here and he is a big favorite here.

I remember John Cena having to show up on a smackdown ppv to try and help the buy rate years ago in a tag team match because Dave was a flop as a big time smackdown face.

Wrestling & MMA / wrestlemania odds according to paddypower
« on: April 06, 2013, 10:44:55 PM »
paddypower is a gambling website which I have never used but they do take bets on wrestlemania. I have no idea if it would be easy to cash out so this is more for fun then me suggesting you go place money at their website

undertaker 1/12 vs cm punk 11/2

this means for every 12 dollars you bet on taker you win 1 dollar or for every 2 dollars you bet on  punk you would win 11 dollars.

john cena 1/7 vs the rock 4/1

Same math applies here. For every 7 dollars from Cena you win 1 dollar and for every 1 dollar on the rock you win 4 bucks.

HHH 2/7 vs Brock Lesnar 9/4

Fandango 2/7 vs Chris Jericho 9/4

Alberto Del Rio 2/7 vs Jack Swagger 9/4

Ryback 1/6 vs Mark Henry 7/2

The Shield 1/7 vs Orton TBS Sheamus 4/1

Team Funk 1/3 vs Team Rhodes Scholars 2/1

Team Hell No  8/15 vs Team Ziggler 11/8

No odds on will dolph ziggler cash attempt to cash in the briefcase.

Wade Barrett 7/4 vs The Miz 2/5

Well there you go bet 10000 fictional dollars total on any outcome

No idea if you walked in to their casino(if they even had one) what the max you could bet would be. I would guess 1,000 dollars.

I will bet my 10000 fictional dollars on undertaker vs Cm Punk and take the 8.3 percent automatic  payout.

General Discussion / what shows do republicans and democrats watch?
« on: November 10, 2010, 10:25:16 PM »

interesting yahoo article. some of it I find interesting and I just love this line

What has changed is the explosion on cable that has allowed networks to appeal to more specific viewpoints, from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" to Fox News's "Glenn Beck." Moreover, if you're a liberal viewer in a major city (which typically correlates with higher education) and you have such titles as "Mad Men" and "Dexter" to watch each week, are you going to also be interested in seeing a paint-by-numbers crime procedural on broadcast or a laugh-track-boosted sitcom? On the scripted side, at least, the explosion of complex dramas on cable may have ceded some of the broadcast ground to what one might label Republican tastes.

"The big shows with mass appeal tend to have above-average scores from Democrats and Republicans but with higher concentrations of Republicans," says John Fetto, senior marketing manager at Experian Simmons. "Looking at the Democrats' side, I don't mean to make light of it, but they seem to like shows about damaged people. Those are the kind of shows Republicans just stay away from."

UFOs Visited Nuclear Weapons Sites, Former Air Force Officers Say
Updated: 2 days 1 hour ago

(Sept. 21) -- UFOs have monitored and possibly tampered with American nuclear weapons, according to a group of former Air Force officers who will make their claims public next week at a Washington, D.C., news conference.

"While most of the incidents apparently involved mere surveillance, in a few cases, a significant number of nuclear missiles suddenly and simultaneously malfunctioned, just as USAF security policemen reported seeing disc-shaped craft hovering nearby," says Robert Hastings, author of "UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites."

On Monday, at the National Press Club, Hastings will present six former Air Force personnel who will break their silence and disclose dramatic first-hand experiences with UFOs at nuclear weapons sites.
UFOs and Alien Encounters?

An unidentified flying object was photographed by a government employee over the Holloman Air Development Center in New Mexico in 1964. Photos like this one offer some of the most compelling evidence for those who believe that extraterrestrials have visited our planet.

In a statement, Hastings said, "At long last, all of these witnesses are coming forward to say that, as unbelievable as it may seem to some, UFOs have long monitored and sometimes tampered with our nukes."

Hastings' co-host for the news conference, ICBM launch officer Capt. Robert Salas, was witness to a UFO incident in 1967 that, he says, caused a missile disruption at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and he was ordered to keep quiet about it.

"The Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases, and we can prove it," Salas said.

Another officer scheduled to appear at Monday's conference, Col. Charles Halt, witnessed a disc-shaped object shooting beams of light onto the joint Anglo/American RAF Bentwaters airbase in England in 1980. The lights were reportedly near the base's nuclear weapons storage area.

"I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted -- both then and now -- to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation." - Larry King: UFOs shutting down Military Sites 1/4 Video
Along with the other officers who will be on hand to support this remarkable UFO agenda, Hastings says that he and the auspicious military group will discuss the national security implications of these and other UFO incidents, and they will urge the government to come clean about the subject.

In addition to declassified U.S. government documents that will be offered at the event, the group plans to address the following questions:

    * Why do UFOs continue to appear at nuclear weapons sites, decade after decade?
    * What might these incursions indicate about the intentions and goals of those who presumably pilot these craft?
    * Why has the U.S. government chosen to keep the American public, and people everywhere, in the dark about these dramatic developments?
