Congrats to Sylvester Stallone for almost making it on here and then dispelling the rumors of his death.

Wrestling & MMA / Raw 2/19/18 AKA EC Informercial
« on: February 20, 2018, 11:34:22 AM »
This show was a brilliant marketing strategy.  We'll see if it sticks.  They had the longest Raw match in history.  They told major stories with just a few matches.  Most importantly, they gave their starts mic time.

That being said:  What they did with the EC mens' interviews was brilliant.  Why did they not do it with the women?

Asuka needs to go heel and get a mouthpiece.  They are asking too much of her and she's trying but she needs the help.  Nya can look like a total badass veteran or a rookie depending on her mood.  If you watch her first interaction with Asuka, her arms were awkward and she was walking funny and then she got to do her moves and it changed.

Apollo Crews was a horrible name.  Apollo is better.

Giving Elias a win was smart.  If he's in the match, he shouldn't look like he'll take the first loss.

If the WWE doesn't let Strowman win there will be a lot of people pissed.  His is red hot right now.  I don't think he could look any more ready than he does now.  If they keep him out they better think of an incredible story line that is exposed in that match.

If it's Reigns, they made him really look weak against Rollins. I just don't think people will bite for him.

They did an awesome plug for Rousey.

If there was ever a time that WWE reminded us that this is a business, it was tonight.

On Jarrett, it wouldn't surprise me if Road Dogg gets the intro but there's many people that could fit the bill.  Lawler was a big proponent of his.  His matches with Razor helped break him into the IC mold.  The Von Erichs had ties to him early on.  It could also be Bischoff since he helped propel his career in WCW.

I feel like this is just a check mark on Vince's list.  If you looked at the people he was with, he comes as the least important one so far, even behind Ivory.

Wrestling & MMA / Raw 2/12/18 Braun's Done Lost It
« on: February 13, 2018, 11:10:55 AM »
I believe some of WWE's biggest mistakes with the Undertaker happened when they tried to make him funny.  I thought Braun singing was too off and took away from his character.  I like the Braun that blows a gasket easily and can't take a joke, not the one who tries to make one.  He's definitely the top face right now.  I hope he keeps it.

I get it with Cena and The Miz.  The win doesn't hurt Miz and Cena really needed a win to make it believable that he might win the E.C.  I liked Miz's promo about being willing to do things others won't.  He made a good point.

The Guy seems to be lost in the fold right now.  I don't think people will buy Reigns versus Brock.  Strowman has the heat right now.  Is Reigns going to find a new tag partner?

The problem with the women's EC is that Blyss has beaten just about everyone in it.  I'm having a hard time being bought in to this one.  I think Blyss versus Asuka may end up being Ultimate Warrior vs. Honty Tonk Man level of a mtach.

Rollins definitely adds alot to EC. I hope he makes it.

Ivory should have earned her spot in the HoF long before some of the others.  Congrats to WWE for getting the timing right with the GLOW enthusiasm over the last year.

I think they should remove the Cruiserweight brand from Raw or Smackdown .   It's so lost on the main show .

Ty Dillinger is the epitome of the wrestler being held down, whether he deserves it or not . I wasn't surprised.

The New Day bits were fun.

Geesh, just put Randy vs AJ already.  I agree he shouldn't have buried 3 wrestlers like that.

Enough with Kevammi.  Kill it at Fastlane.

I like Sara's look. She needs to separate from Riot.  I hope she will get a push in a few years .

This was a very slow build to story lines that will play out to WM.

So is Nia turning face?  Her match comes off as heelish but her promo doesn't.

Miz is amazing, it's a shame that he had to be used to remind us that Dana is with Titus Worldwide still.

The Wyatt / Reigns match came off as filler.  Would it have hurt to have Matt interfere in the match?

It's sad when Kurt has to explain who the pictures of the women's EC match are.

The tag championship match wasn't as good as they have been lately.  If someone is to sick to compete, keep them out of ringside, no?

Braun is the man!  Cena is seeing twilight.  Elias will be playing the role of Jinder Mahal in the "where the hell did he come from" position.

Maybe I missed Lesnar too much.  Heyman could have helped the show.

It's scary but I think they are moving toward Elias vs Cena at WM.  Probably having a music competition in the mix .

Some of them like McCool and Phoenix looked like they could go full time.

I like Phoenix trying to get her move on Jax.  The women's match was definitely more fun.
