Five strangers get trapped in an elevator together. Each time the lights go out, one of them dies and they can't figure out whose the killer.

Not your typical horror movie, very small scale and simple by the time it's all over. However, I think I liked it because of that. It's very bump in the night, except in the elevator.

One aspect or character is very cheesy, that drives the movie, and that could possibly be M. Night's only finger print in the movie. That being said, it's probably the best thing M. Night has had his name on in years.

See it for a fun horror movie, creepy, simple, and mysterious  :diablo_mini:

Theme of this season is young vs. old. Old tribe is 40 and above, including a super bowl coach.

What, no Russell?

Interesting show last night. One tribe basically gets a source of power which gives them advantages in competitions and other things randomly. Once they use the power, it goes to the other tribe, back and forth.

These two girls found a clue to the first immunity idol, but are too stupid to figure out what it means so they're just holding on to it.

Funny tribal council last night. One of the older players basically says what's on everyone's mind at home. This woman who was extremely paranoid about being sent home started a laundry list of reasons why she should stay, including being older than she looks. And the guy condescendingly comments, "oh you look so young  :boredom_mini: :rolleyes_mini:"

Geekville / SUPERMAN/BATMAN: APOCALYPSE

This was pretty fun. You get a nice chunk of screen time with the big three, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

They took a lot of liberties from the comic, but as usual, it was for the best for this format. It's the retconned story of the origin of Supergirl. This was Jeph Loeb's last story for DC before jumping ship and ruining things in Marvel, but he did an amazing job of making Supergirl relevant and a bad ass.

So Kara lands on Earth with a vague memory of who and where she came from. Batman is very suspicious while Superman just wants to embrace her cousin. Meanwhile, Granny Goodness needs to replace the captain of her female furies, and she wants Kara.

Loeb used to do a great job of making World's Finest into summer blockbusters and this is a really big fun event in the creation of Supergirl.

Voice acting and animation are top notch.

Recommended, much better than Public Enemies. Still hoping to see a Hush and Long Halloween stories to hit animation. Feel like we're getting closer with each one.

What looked like a dead and tiresome trilogy suddenly has new life with this new installment. Alice continues to fight the Umbrella Corporation while bringing the living to safety, but this time with the new help of Chris and Claire Redfield along a couple of other survivors.

I saw this in 3D and the effects are AMAZING. This is one of the few movies that actually use the 3D gimmick, rather than just make you pay for the glasses. Visually the movie is beautiful, tons of video game violence and Milla just looks great in this limited action role.

Not much story, but don't ever go into these looking for one. This is the start of a second trilogy.

Also some very funny type casting for Wentworth Miller, Michael Scofield of Prison Break.

See this on the big screen.
