The movie isnít hated. Itís just extemely divisive amongst Star Wars fans themselves, causing a civil war.

Mark Hamill has come out against his portrayal of Luke in interviews, but now back tracks and says he didnít mean any of it after Disney got to him.

No idea how you took this movie as a critique on Bush era tax cuts.

Thereís bigger problems like the whole Finn storyline on the casino planet.

Jinder was done once they decided to take the title off him. He wasnít selling tickets in India like they had hoped, so Triple H beat him there and they cancelled a show.

All this time shoving him down our throats and killing Nakamura in the process.

I watched a $7 matinee of this today and Iíd rate it a matinee. See it on the big screen, but not worth a full price.

Lots of enjoyable moments, but as a whole itís inconsistent.

JJ Abrahams setup a lot of big things in Force Awakens as it ends on a cliffhanger, promising to deliver in the next saga:

Reyís parentage
Rey and Finn romance
Lukeís big role in all this
Return of Phasma

Force Awakens is a remake of a New Hope? Be patient, the sequel will get into all the above stuff. Rianna Johnson doesnít care about any of that as he has a very different idea for a narrative in this film.

The good?

Kylo Renn is a lot more fleshed out and interesting

Lots of good individual moments

The actors all shine in their roles.

Tries lots of new things, most people probably didnít ask for

The bad

Way too long of a film when there wasnít enough story to fill it. Finnís casino planet story could have been cut out. Luke himself was good, but his story on the island didnít need that much time

Without spoiling anything yet, just a lot of choices made in the film that made it inconsistent with Star Wars itself, not including the three movies in one that is this.

Itís enjoyable. Not a bad film at all. But theyíre running out of ideas if this is what they have left. They didnít even setup a reason for the sequel other than we need more Star Wars movies.

I donít know how to embed YouTube videos here anymore, but did you guys see Jericho attack Omega?

Character wise this is the best Jericho in years. Heís actually a believable bad ass and this all feels real, especially the press conference where Jericho flips a table then goes off on a reporter.

Also love Don Callis taking a code breaker, who put this deal together between his two friends. Speaking of the code breaker, look how great Kenny sells it.

Total 80ís fued done in modern day

I think we need to be honest. That was not good. Whatever creative license Matt has, Monday night he was handed a script to do exactly what he did last week, but scripted.

I bet Meek Mah Hon admires Matt establishing himself in the WWE, leaving, re-inventing himself, and coming back.

Only reason to watch Raw tonight.

Abc wanted to cancel the show. Ratings suck and cost them money to produce, but Disney forced them to keep the show running. So abc retaliated and sent the show to Friday nights to die.

Terrible ratings so far.

Being reported Vince is a big fan of what Matt is doing to the point where heís being given creative license to do what he wants.

This would have been even better had Wyatt been given the wins to his fueds to back up his character.

Right now heís a bunch of nonsense in his promos, but completely fit in the Woken Universe. His evil laugh was cringe worthy till Woken Matt started laughing in retaliation.

The new Avengers trailer is better than this movie sadly.

Well itís official, Anthem, the parent company of TNA/Impact says the Broken universe is Mattís now. They further went along to say, and I donít know why, that any intellectual property can be used when talent leaves TNA/Impact.

However in the WWE itís going to be the Woken Universe, so itís a Vince creation. This is actually still a good thing for Matt because if or when he ever leaves WWE, Broken is still his to use.

That Roman Reigns promo was garbage and weíre back to that again? The IC title on him really devalues the belt. He doesnít need it and it, but theyre going for the shield holding all 4 raw belts at Mania Iím guessing. At least Samoa Joe gets a little bit of a spotlight for now.

It was also reported that Balor vs Brock is off for Royal Rumble because Vince doesnít think Balor is over enough. Well when you try to bury him against Kane week after week and have him job at Survivor Series, it tends to work against you.

I think theyíre setting up Triple H vs Angle. Then Jordan turns on Angle and costs him the match. But I donít really care.

A lot of first time matches tonight that lead to nothing.

No surprise Brockís best match in years was with AJ. Heís the best in the business right now along with a couple of guys in New Japan. Heís only got a couple of years left before retirement. So letís job out to Brock who needs it.

General Discussion / Justice League (2017)
« on: November 17, 2017, 01:16:36 PM »

Enjoyed the movie a lot. Is it great? Nope. Good? For DC fans who are already fans of these characters.

Thereís no plot, but the editing and reshooting Whedon did for the two hour mandate he had, he made into a fun live action version of Injustice and the DC cartoons.

I could have used another half hour to really flesh the characters or story out, but Snyder had no story or character for these guys, so it would have ruined a good thing I feel.

The MVP is still Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman. Sheís the most fleshed out of the team and most convincing. Maybe it helps having a good solo movie to develope her.

Batman just felt off. Way too vulnerable and missing the grit from BvS and Suicide Squad. This is more to do with the writing and directing than Affleck. Way too soft.

Flash - enjoyable. No complaints. Heís very different than CW Barry. Thatís not a dig Grant Gustin, more of a compliment to the film for making their own Barry.

Aquaman is fun, but heís 95% on land the entire movie. I think Momoa got to shine rather than the superhero. He needs a solo film in water.

Cyborg is the hardest to pull off since heís so much cgi and looks fake. Heís too busy looking and needs to be more stream lined like Iron Man. Much like Aquaman I liked the actor more than the superhero. I donít think he was used the best visually unless you love cgi on top of cgi.

Superman is fantastic. Complete opposite of Cyborg and Aquaman. I got to see Superman do Superman stuff in the best way possible.

Steppenwolf is another generic bad guy we have to sit through. Should have been Darkseid, but Snyder would have wasted him too. But they can save Darkseid for another film maybe.

Speaking of wasted, they have no clue who Lois Lane is character wise. The stuff she says is completely pointless.

Flawed film making, but I enjoyed it. Please donít let Zach Snyder near this universe anymore. This is kind of a soft reboot of the DCEU, but they need to do better like Wonder Woman.

Two after credit scenes are good.

He was at one of the raw shows this year and took a pic with Braun.

I have no doubt Vince would seek him out if he got wind of him.

I donít think Triple H or Cena belong on there. Burying Jason Jordan was cool since his story sucks, but it made no sense even though the crowd loved it.

Ever since the last ppv with using Aj and Angle out of nowhere, I feel like theyíve realized they can just book dream matches rather than follow the status quo matches.

Nobody wanted to see Jinder vs Brock, so make Aj champ. Same with Bliss vs Natalya. Charlotte is a better match up. Shield vs Usos would have been fun, but new day vs all of the shield is the dream match.

Now we have a super card.

Wrestling & MMA / Re: Smackdown 10/7 WTF?
« on: November 08, 2017, 12:23:30 PM »
Iíve noticed that most peopleís reactions are positive about AJ becoming champ, but not overjoyed either since Vince is so unstable and will easily take it off of him the following week if he wants.

If they want to bridge the gap between bullet club and wwe, Kenny is the key. He can help get the Young Bucks signed, and cut into the Hot Topic merchandise.

I donít know if theyíd want to be with the wwe right now as they are very successful without them. Maybe for the future though. Kenny has said his dream is to main event Mania against AJ.

How big of an arena could this match have stateside?

I feel like we are getting robbed over here and New Japan did something amazing.  Am I just a over informed wrestling fan or could there be a draw here?

The biggest draw right now is Brock vs Jinder Mahal. The two most legit champions in one ring and WWE is really close to signing that match.

I wonder how he worked this out with Vince. He leaves all the time and comes back and never wrestles for another company.

I think this will be great for both guys. Jericho can have a great high quality match which he probably canít in the WWE with their restrictive style at this stage of his careeer. And Kenny can have a match with a big name from the states.
