WWE Hall of Fame 2017 Spoilers
« on: January 04, 2017, 02:48:23 PM »
Tagged this as spoilers because some people only like to find out who is going in on Raw, SD, or press releases, etc.

The first rumored/reported name this year is DDP Diamond Dallas Page.

I can't find it now, but his entrance at Beach Blast 92 (I think) was one of his best "What I'd Like To Have Right Now..." promos.

Any chance we get Demolition in the HOF this year?  Bill Eadie is going to be 70 this year.  It should be a no brainer to induct that team while Ax and Smash are still alive.

Since they are part of a lawsuit against WWE, and as such, the WWE had the New Day break Demolition's record title reign, I'd say it's highly unlikely that they are going in the HoF this year.

Fir a tag team, I expect Harlem Heat to go in.  It gives Booker more face time before his gubinatorial race.

His intro was perfection.... his pre match promo was perfection.... Rude was so much better than I gave him credit for during his career. He was also one of the legit tough guys back stage that would whoop a mothafucka's ass if they needed it. The doggone reaction he got from the crowds was mindblowing.

Here's how you respond to people trying to apply their own criteria to the WWE HOF.

Rock & Roll Express.

Jim Cornette is the only worthy person to induct them, but he's made a post wwe career bashing WWE, so I don't know if it'll ever happen.

Maybe The Midnight Express?

I think he'd do it, if asked.

JR may not be the best choice to induct them, but he wouldn't be a bad choice.

Afraid it's HBK with that "before the Rockers" comment.

I was going to suggest both Rockers due to the influence. It'd be more fitting than New Day inducting the Freebirds.

Jim Cornette commented about this on his podcast this morning.

Said he admits when he's wrong. He's said in the past the WWE would never induct the Rock & Roll or The Midnight Express into their HOF. So he was both surprised and happy.

The idea of him and the Midnight next, said hell has already frozen over, too soon to ask for it two more times. Sounds like he'd go is asked.

As far as who should induct the Rock & Roll, he suggests Lawler or Jimmy Hart.

Teddy Long is a good choice.  He's given his time and energy and paid respect to his managerial skills in WCW during his video montage.  Did I miss he gets to introduce him.  It probably should be Simmons and Reed.
