WWE Payback
« on: April 30, 2017, 08:00:23 PM »
The pre-show had Enzio pinning Gallows. I thought that ended on a stupid note.

They also had Miz TV with Balor. Looks like Miz will be fed to him soon.

Matt is teasing the Broken bit a little more.

Well, they had to give us 1 shock tonight.  Jericho wins by submission in a great match.

I can't help but think the DQ win for Aries is a plan to see if people will watch a rematch on 205 Live.  It was a good match though.

Jericho is still leaving, so maybe some type of cage match on Smackdown?

Thank God Shemaus and Cesaro are turning heel. Cesaro is a great heel, their characters were in limbo and now this can introduce the broken Hardy's too.

Well, the Hardy's weren't given a total beat down but it's a start.

It's sad when Bayley.has to fix one of the blow-ups when she comes back. The sad thing is there was another one down too.

"So, where were you born?".
"Uhh....I don't know. I am an orphan and I was born with amnesia".
"Well, guess you can never lose then".

And that's how you stay undefeated in WWE.

Jokes aside, this is essentially a sickness at this point with Vince having to have his talent lose in their hometown. Even if it makes no booking sense, he has to do it.

Wow!!  I really thought Charlotte would be the 1st champ of both shows. Bliss held her own. Bayley and her could have a great on and off program.

So glad Alexa became the first to become Raw and Smackdown women's champion instead of Charlotte.

Show has been quite good, so far, with some surprising finishes (After this show ends, can't wait to check out what the betting odds were prior to the show).

Wow!! It has a blatant rip-off of the Broken Hardy's tag matches on Impact.

We interrupt your House of Horrors match to bring you what should be the Main Event match of Seth and Joe.

Kind of forgot how much talent was from ROH on the roster.

Owens
Cesaro
Rollins
Joe
Aries

All world champs except for Cesaro and he had the tag titles for a very long time.

I like roll ups but that was a crappy ending. They killed Joe's momentum in one fail swoop.

Why did I think the HoH match was for the title?  Had i realized it I would have not been surprised that Bray won.

It was when it was announced but they slowly stopped mentioning it. I don't think they ever announced it as non-title officially.

Strowman needed to win this match. I wonder how he will do with Brock.

The dude shows up, kills somebody, and leaves. What's not to like?

Tonight we learned that you can smash a guy's hand with steel stairs and not get DQ'd, but the touching the ref DQ rule still stands.

I think the women's booking is suffering from whoever is booking the match finishes. At Mania, Bailey hits the top rope elbow and that's it but there was never any type of build as to why she would do that or that it could finish the match.

At HITC, Charlotte hits her finisher out of nowhere and that's it.

Last night, Bliss wins with a DDT. The story was that Bailey hit her head but these things aren't highlighted enough to where the crowd understands what the hell just happened. Really poor match layouts for the women involving the title. They have to clean this up.

Alexa did everything she said she was going to do. She beat up Bayley and pinned her to win her title in front of Bayley's family.

How is this woman a heel?

And after Orton got the refrigerator spilled over him, I so desperately wanted Randy to come to the ring still encased in a refrigerator.

The women's title match last night was excellent and the ending was amazing. It actually made sense! Moves other than finishers can end matches! Alexa Bliss is the best woman in WWE now and no one else is even close.

I don't like that they are only building Braun up so that Brock can kill him.

I thought Alexa has used DDTs to win before.

Random thoughts:

KO/Jericho was the wrong open for me to see after binge watching a few episodes of Lucha Underground. From 2 hours of flippy/crazy bits to 5 minutes of chin locks, it made that match seem super boring.

Alexa is amazing. She does all the little things right.

House of Horrors was an absolute disaster. It's a good thing they didn't describe this match ahead of time because that... was pretty lame. And then having to come back to the arena... just don't see the point.
