Just did 101 pushups, so I'm out on that program.

1. Do 100 pushups
2. Do 1 more

Glad I could help.

Well, I got my answer.

I got told in a meeting today that March 25th is the last day and some of the people I work with will be leaving on February 25th.

The reasoning? The client didn't want to spend anymore money and didn't feel that anyone working on the project warranted a pay increase.

So, after March 25th, I'll get a separation notice and unemployment unless I find a job between now and then.

Thanks, I'm actually glad I'm leaving this job though.

When I started payroll was screwed up for at least 2 or 3 pay periods. Everyone I worked with wanted to sign up for insurance, 401(k), etc. as soon as they started. But if they can't take out Federal taxes correctly, why should I give them more of my money?

Plus, it was various other things, like most of my co-workers not being completely competent. It was at least three or four months before they were up to speed. There was one bullshit artist who lived 11 minutes away but yet couldn't come in on weekends and evenings, due to his 'family obligations,' whatever the fuck that means. His side job was with Citi Financial/Primerica calling on people to sign up for life insurance and retirement plans and the ilk (I guess that answers why he couldn't do it). I live an hour away and I didn't have a problem with working late. And there was another guy who was rumored to have an ankle monitor on him, so he definitely couldn't come in on evenings or weekends.

And not only that but the project manager is this guy from India and when he asked what the company would do differently on a project, he said they wouldn't do anything differently. He actually blamed the people hired (me and others) for the project ending. Yet the whole project was/is a joke because there was NOTHING in writing on anything and the person before the current manager didn't indicate any long-term plans whatsoever. They just hired 15 or so people and acted surprised that the people weren't able to handle all the calls and the clients were upset. And yet it was expected for this to be workable in two months, which is crazy.
