Bobby Lashley
« on: March 26, 2011, 10:04:37 AM »
I recorded that fight on HDNet last night.  Lashley says he wants to step up in competition.  He must want to see himself get knocked out as much as I do.

Crowd heel turn on Lashley was awesome.

anyone else watch the M-1 Global show last night?  That Russian who won the middleweight title was pretty fierce.  The guy he was fighting was purple all over by the end of the fight(2/3 of the way into the 2nd round).

lashley fights rule

I love watching huge muscled men get gassed.

Here's a breakdown of this fight:

Round 1: Pawing, takedown, weak GnP that the announcer fawns all over.

Round 2: Pawing, takedown, weak GnP that the announcer doesn't fawn all over.

Round 3: Jabroni tries to keep the fight standing up, crowd heel turn, lay and pray.

I just watched this fight last night from my DVR. Pretty accurate description of the fight except I thought that the first round GnP was pretty good, much better than the second round. Lashley was gassed after the first round and was lucky he fell on top of Ott in the third round. Trigg was right when he said if you put Lashley with a top level Heavyweight(Carwin, Overeem, et al)he'd get killed.

Let's put it this way, I think the GnP was being way oversold in the first round.  It may not have been as weak as I described, but that announcer was putting it over as more impressive than it was.
